Math & Science

You were fantastic today with your Scale Factor & Similarity work.  Great proofs on the Similar Triangle work.

Please work through the questions on p. 150 in Mathlinks 9.

902, you are field testing tomorrow for Science.  901 you have a double for CASH.

902, your field test is during periods 1 & 2 so you will need to follow the 901 Ma/Sci schedule for the day.  901 your CASH periods are in periods 4 & 5...please make sure that you are using this time wisely.

Math/Science

We have officially finished the Electricity Unit...!!!  Today we reviewed Power Calculations using PEt and PIV.  Please try the practice questions listed on the handout from today.

We also went through similar triangles & reductions/enlargement calculations.

Math review materials have been posted on D2L since May 5th.

CASH is in full swing...please ensure that you are keeping up with your commitments.

Ma/Sci Update

901 field test today for Science...please use your results to motivate you through to the end of the year.  It was great to see the many source based graphs/charts that you will see on June 22.

902 double CASH today...hope things are progressing & you are pushing forward with your policies.  Ensure that your supporting document files are well organized!!  Keep on track & keep pushing forward!

Study schedules should be in full force right now...keep on them & don't get down on yourself if you miss some time.

Please ensure that you are keeping an eye on the end of the year plan...you have had this for a week now.  Motors & Scale/Similarity tomorrow...

MidTerm Tomorrow in Science

Topics 1-5 mid-unit assessment tomorrow in class.  The test will be open notebook so please put in some big time tonight pepping up your journals.  Please get all loose paper in to your journals and update your notes with supplemental information from class.

Perhaps you might want to flag & colour code your journals to make it easier tomorrow during the assessment.

Math/Science Updates & Triathlon

I'm not sure what I just did but I seem to have deleted my blog post from this after noon!  Here is a quick recap:

Last minute triathlon forms...please get them in asap...they are way past due.

Remember to bring all your gear for triathlon:  towel, swim suit, water bottle, big lunch, runners, work out clothes.

Great work on the series/parallel circuit lab today...lots of awesome building & patience!

Hope you are balancing your daily work, studying, and CASH project work.  Please review your study schedules as well as the outline for Ma/Sci that was handed out this week.

Please ensure that your Science journals are up-to-date & organized with no loose papers.  You have an open notebook mid-term in Science on Tuesday.  You might want to pep up your notes, add examples & tab/flag sections of your journal for the test.

Science review start on Monday at lunch (noon) in Room 10.  Topic of review is Biodiversity topics 1-3.  You should be well through biodiversity for the first time this weekend & working through Space if not finished your first review of Space material.
