New Moon Tonight!! Too bad it's not Monday!

Gracie exclaimed that the moon was following us home.  As I sped up, she said the moon starting running to follow us!  Frames of reference...maybe Geocentric thinking is not actually that far fetched!

Math/Science

Today we finished the 400 Years of the Telescope...so awesome!!  So many curricular connections!!  If you need to get on to Learn Alberta & work on your gizmo, log on tonight as it becomes user pay tomorrow.

Future Churchillians...a letter went home from your future principal, Mr. Rajan.  Please ensure that you get a copy tomorrow when you are back.

We completed our scavenger hunt today and we received a very important handout with notes on the Charter labelled Handout 1. Make sure you get one from Mrs.Kirk if you were away today!

Math/Science

Today we reviewed for the Math test on Thursday.  An outline was given:
-9 multiple choice concepts
-2 MC procedures
-3 short answer procedures
-3 word problems reasoning

Please ensure that your Space workbooks are up-to-date...quite a few of you are behind.  Your quiz will be via a google doc---it has 18 multiple choice questions.  Thanks for letting me try something new with you!

Transfer to Churchill for IB New Protocol

Those Students NOT designated to Churchill but interested in IB (therefore, wanting to transfer) need to have their application handed into CHURCHILL BY JANUARY 15^th.  They are required to complete a number of steps, as well there is a teacher recommendation section.  They are strongly encouraged to give their teachers at least one week notice prior to that deadline.

Field Trip forms for Hitmen game were handed out today...please get them in to your HR teacher asap.

We are working in the computer lab tomorrow on spectral line analysis.
